Sensex Today | Stock Market LIVE Updates: Nifty 50 ended the previous trade session 934.55 points away from its record high of 25,078.30.
The index will have to close above 24,367 to prevent its third consecutive weekly losse, a streak that was last witnessed in July-August last year.
US markets continued to rally on the back of US CPI coming in better-than-expected.
Vedanta, Ola Electric, SpiceJet, Glenmark Pharma, Madras Fertilisers, Suprajit Engineering, KNR Constructions, Polyplex Corporation are among the stocks in focus today.

Net profit of ₹340 crore, slightly higher than estimates of ₹325.7 crore. Revenue up 7% to ₹,3244 crore. EBITDA margin at 18.1% from 14.4%. India sales up 11.9% year-on-year. US sales at $93.6 million from $91 million last year.

Net profit down 19.9% to ₹158.2 crore from ₹197.6 crore last year. Revenue down 14.7% to ₹1,708 crore from ₹2,003 crore last year. EBITDAR up 5.5% to ₹650 crore. Balance sheet shows profit of ₹150 crore mainly due to other income arising out of settlement with Export Development Canada and certain lessors. Sans other income, the airline would have made a ₹222 crore net loss during the quarter. Auditors note that company is in non-compliance with various laws and regulations applicable to them. Losses accumulated amount to ₹7,662 crore which has resulted in complete erosion of its networth. Current liabilities exceed assets by ₹6,308 crore. Significant doubt on company’s ability to continue as a going concern.
